I can totally see this. I do enjoy my bitching and I do see the beauty in everything. It's also why no one can ever love me because I am kinda set in my garbage can living and toy hording ways.

I got Mr. Snuffleupagus. Doesn't like to be the center of attention, but will go out of their way to help your best friends... and a good plate of spaghetti.
I got Bert! I love the simple things in life, like my pet pigeon and my collection of bottle caps. It also takes a lot to rattle me. Also, order and stability are important to me, which is kinda true because those things tend to be hard to come across.
On a side note, Oscar was one of my favorite characters. I always liked the idea of what the inside of his garbage can looked like. Did they ever show what the inside looked like?
