For years and years he was the only sanity in a world of news that has absolutely lost all credibility with me. He held a mirror up to power and often found them wanting....and thus ripe for mockery. I know putting on such a program is a group effort but to lose the face of The Daily Show just rips me up. We don't deserve to see him go. Can't he be decent and just die on the job like he is suppose to?

First Colbert goes, now Stewart -- it's the end of an era. Sad to see them go but they must want (and deserve) fresh challenges.
Gonna be a whole different world of late night. I think the age of celebrity talkshow is back and not for the good.
Eh, I liked his predecessor Craig Kilborn much more. He had more of a 'cool sports dude' approach.
But Stewart will be missed.
Really sad.
David, how you can mention Kilborn and Stewart in the same sentence is like comparing a monkey to Charles Darwin. You amaze me sometimes and I am not often amazed.
