Vin Diesel Connected To Bloodshot Movie

Vin Diesel is in talks to star in Sony’s “Bloodshot” movie based on the Valiant comic, TheWrap has learned.

I have been a fan of Bloodshot from back in the Valiant days. I love the idea of a guy needing to apply meat to his wounds if he needs to heal himself. The nanites in his blood make him virtually unkillable, the ultimate soldier because with the right raw materials those little machines can rebuilt any damaged organ or body part back to the cellular level.

Blooshot starts as a tool of the government but of course we don't have us a story if he just does what his military masters tell him to do. His rebellion is the interesting thing about him. Vin Diesel could do the part and I hope they don't lose the white skin or the blood circle on his chest. Those two things have an important meaning to the history of the Valiant heroes. It's called The Blood Of Heroes and it connects many characters throughout time from Bloodshot to Rai. The blood protects the hero and the white color warns all who see him that he carries the blood within him. It's an honor in the future to carry the blood within you and makes you the first and last line of defence in the Valiant Universe.

Sony revealed it would be moving forward with its five-film shared universe plan for joint franchises based on the Valiant comic books “Harbinger” and “Bloodshot.”

“Bloodshot” is about a mortally wounded soldier resurrected with cutting-edge nanotechnology and tasked with rounding up superpowered outcasts known as “harbingers.” “Bloodshot” was created by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton in 1992.

He's from old school mid-90s Valiant when there were a viable option to Marvel and DC. Great creators joined before Image got all the press.
